Today I’m working on a drawing for Philadelphia Weekly newspaper. The cover story is about black women age 35 -50 who are the new population most likely to get infected with HIV. It’s a really sad story and I feel that it’s really important and challenging to handle the graphics in a respectful way. It’s a delicate subject to illustrate. I’m finding it pretty hard, but here’s what I have so far. Keep an eye out for the cover in November.

A major player in this quest is a hex tile floor and backsplash; I love those little 1 by 1″ cuties. I finally found these at Luxe Tile
