What a great idea to add white flannel circles (I am seeing the circles outlined in a blanket stitch – I love it. Now I can keep the quilt in one piece, and make it more fun. Thanks!

How about something like white circles all over it? You could do flannel circles in different sizes in random locations (some of which would also cover the burns!!)
